OMNI operates six EC135s.

The EC135 for Transporting Passengers and Loads
In 2005, OMNI added two EC135s to its fleet because the company believed this was the best aircraft for performing oil & gas missions for its customer Petrobras in the northeast of Brazil. “This aircraft was the best in the twin-engine range for operations to and from small oil platforms,” explains Captain Roberto Coimbra, the company’s Managing Director. “We chose the EC135 for its speed and its high level of availability, which is the result of its reduced maintenance and longer intervals between maintenance operations. But we were particularly bowled over by the high level of cabin comfort, bearing in mind this is a five-seat helicopter.”, OMNI, who has been highly satisfied with their two EC135s, made the decision to acquire four more: Two in 2006 and another pair in December 2007. The company mainly uses its six EC135s to transport passengers or loads.

The EC155 B1 for Emergency Medical Services
In April 2008, OMNI purchased two EC155 B1s in the scope of an emergency medical services (EMS) contract with its customer Petrobras. “We opted for the EC155 B1 because it was the aircraft we needed to fulfill the contractual requirements. This helicopter’s spacious cabin has state-of-the-art technology and fantastic sound insulation. The EC155 B1 flies at high speeds and constantly maintains level cruising flight. These attributes are essential in the EMS sector and will allow us to meet the Petrobras’ standards,” Captain Coimbra adds. Helibras will deliver the helicopters, configured for offshore EMS missions, in 2010.
