Eurocopter presents solutions for every type of search and rescue (SAR)
operation in Brighton.
The SAR seminar held in Brighton in the United
Kingdom on June 3 and 4, 2008, was the perfect
opportunity for Eurocopter to present its range of solutions
covering every aspect of SAR missions. The
guests at the seminar included customers and
prospective SAR customers from four different
spheres: the military, governmental agencies like coast
guards, commercial operators and new comers as Oil
& Gas companies.
Eurocopter’s dedicated offer in the SAR field is based
on four types of helicopters: The EC145, the AS365
N3 Dauphin, the EC225/EC725 and the latest addition
to the range, the EC175. The full SAR capacities of
this newcomer were presented in Brighton.
“Eurocopter’s aircraft are becoming increasingly better
suited to the requirements of SAR missions. The new
autopilot, in particular, provides unmatched mission
capability, and the human-machine interface dramatically
reduces the pilot’s workload,” explains Jerôme
Combe, key segment manager (KSM) for the search
and rescue segment at Eurocopter.
“SAR platforms
requirements vary according to the environment, the
history of the country, the budgets allocated and the
area to be covered. The optional offered are based on
levels of coverage, from day to 24-hour service inland
and at sea including long distances. Whatever the
SAR requirements, Eurocopter has a solution. We
intend to organize this type of seminar every two years
so that we can build a “family” of SAR operators that
use Eurocopter helicopters.”
