A group of youngsters, aged between 7 and 11,
were given as a special treat their first ride in a
helicopter, courtesy of Eurocopter subsidiary,
Australian Aerospace Limited and the Day of
Difference Foundation. The Day of Difference
Foundation raises donations for the purchase
of hospital equipment and facilities, the funding
of research, and the support of children and
their families on their traumatic journey from
emergency to recovery. Thanking Australian
Aerospace, Chairman of the Day of Difference
Foundation, Ron Delezio, said: “Unlike most kids,
critically ill and injured children can’t take for
granted simple pleasures like seeing the sunlight
every day. Special treats like these helicopter
flights are uplifting for children who have spent
months in hospital and a comfort for their
parents.” |
