On August 14, 2008, EcoCopter S.A. signed a contract with Eurocopter – the biggest sale that Eurocopter Chile has made in the civil sector this year. EcoCopter S.A. is the leading commercial helicopter operator in Chile and has ordered three AS350 B3 Ecureuil/AStars and three EC130 B4s. These new aircraft will increase EcoCopter’s fleet to 13 helicopters – all built by Eurocopter. The aircraft will allow the operator to expand its activities in Chile and to move into the Peruvian market, where two of the new helicopters will operate. EcoCopter’s long-standing trust in Eurocopter is undoubtedly a result of the Group’s local presence and the major investments it has made in the area.
