New Facilities in Trento

On April 17, 2008, Helicopters Italia, part of the Aersud Elicotteri Group and Italian leader in maintenance, logistic support and training in the helicopter industry, inaugurated its new facilities in Trento, Italy. The new site includes a 2,000 m2 work area, 1,000 m2 of offices and training rooms and a 3,000 m2 landing square. The company was created in 1981, and is the sole maintenance and training (1) center for Eurocopter and Turbomeca in Italy and other nearby European countries (2). Helicopters Italia has a second base in Rome and another 10 bases in other countries throughout the world. It is approved by the European agency EASA as a maintenance organization according to Part 145, and as a design organization according to Part 21. It also holds an EN ISO 9001: 2000 approval. Helicopters Italia operates regularly in neighboring countries, such as Albania, Croatia, Switzerland, Turkey, as well as in North Africa. It has also performed occasional maintenance activities in the Bermuda Islands, Northern Europe, the United States and Central America. Helicopters Italia employs approximately 50 people. In 2007, it performed more than 500 maintenance inspections and 10 training courses.
