The First and Advanced Solutions for Transport (FAST) program comes into play when the part has been packaged and applies until the part is delivered to the customer. FAST is divided into two main services, designated T12 (12 hours) and T24 (24 hours) and concerns nearly all spare parts.

Senior Transport Service Manager Éric Toussaint explains: “The T12 service, which is now starting up in France and which will be implemented soon in Germany, guarantees that an item ordered in the afternoon in time for parcel pickup at 8:30 pm will be delivered before 1:00 pm the next day. Thanks to A-to-Z reorganization and a new carrier, we have eliminated an intermediate sorting step, improving the service at no extra cost.”

The T24 service is for the rest of the world and will be available in early 2008. With T24, an item ordered on a given day will be delivered the following day. To achieve this target, parts will be appropriately pre-positioned on the logistics hubs in order to optimize the logistics flows. The T12 and T24 services will also allow customers to track order progress more closely by directly consulting the tracking data on the carrier’s website. E. Toussaint sums up: “But behind the keywords ‘Rapidity, Reliability and Traceability’, FAST has but one aim: to keep our customers satisfied.”

On May 30, 2007, Eurocopter signed a new maintenance center agreement with Falcon Aviation Services (FAS), an aviation services company specializing in chartered helicopters and associated services in the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf region. The maintenance center will aim to improve day-to-day customer assistance at local and regional levels by providing maintenance and complete overhaul services for Eurocopter helicopters in the region. A fleet of 650 Eurocopter helicopters is currently in service with civil and military operators throughout the Arab world. In the light of this development, FAS has chosen to expand its own Eurocopter fleet, which currently comprises an EC130 and an EC135, by ordering two EC130s and two AS365 N3 Dauphins.
