Heli-Expo 2007, which took place from 1st to 3rd March in Orlando, Florida, saw a record number of sales.
The organizers announced that more than 700 million dollars worth of contracts had been signed, all helicopter manufacturers included. As for attendance, this was stable, albeit very close to the highest levels reached last year with 15,000 visitors and 500 exhibitors.

Once more, Eurocopter walked away with the lion’s share: in three days, the company took a total of 112 orders (88 firm and 24 options).
The majority of these sales were made on the US market, which is shaping up to be very buoyant once again in 2007.
The contracts included 47 helicopters for the oil industry (including 27 EC225s for CHC and Bristow); 34 AS350 B2 and B3 Ecureuils for the EMS sector; and 31 EC120s, AS350 B2 Ecureuils, EC130s, and EC145s for the corporate and tourist markets.

2006 was the year of the altitude takeoff world record on the Everest – 2007 will be the year of record sales!
