At the French Formula 1 Grand Prix

Trans Helicopter Service was appointed as the official helicopter carrier for the French Formula 1 Grand Prix, which was held on July 14, 15 and 16 on the racing circuit of Nevers Magny Cours.

Trans Helicopter Service was selected by the Fédération Française de Sport Automobile to provide ground and aerial logistic support for these three days at the biggest gathering of helicopters in France.
Ninety employees from Trans Helicopter Service were assigned to the various sites: the heliports in Magny Cours and Paris, the Nevers Airport, and the helipads within ten minutes flying time of the racetrack.

In all, 60 helicopters including 55 Eurocopter models (EC120 B Colibri, AS355 N, F, AS350 B1, B2, B3, and BA Ecureuils, EC130, AS365 N, C2 Dauphins, EC135, EC145, EC155) – were chartered to carry more than 3,000 passengers.
These helicopters made 850 takeoffs and were operated by French, English, Swiss, Dutch, Belgian and German companies. The helicopters carried out three kinds of duties: transporting passengers (shuttle services, tourist flights, etc.), emergency medical services, and TV broadcasts.

20 Years Experience
Founded in 1985, Trans Helicopter Service performs numerous helicopter operations with its 'Eurocopter only' fleet, consisting of one AS365 N Dauphin, three AS355 Ecureuils, and four AS350 BA Ecureuils.
Dominique Moreau, the Director of Trans Helicopter Service, comments: "We opted for the Ecureuil family because of its reliability, versatility and low operating cost. As for the Dauphin, we were won over by its speed, great comfort, and low noise level, unquestionably a bonus when carrying passengers."

Backed by 20 years experience, Trans Helicopter Service operations include site surveys, all types of aerial surveillance (highways, freeways, rail and river), aerial filming, TV broadcasting, carriage of freight, towing advertising streamers, and above all carrying passengers for both individual and business travel.
While Trans Helicopter Service performs the maintenance of its helicopters, the company does call on Eurocopter to supply it with spare parts. When asked about the quality of this spare part service, Mr. Moreau unhesitatingly expresses his overall satisfaction.
