The US Army opts for the UH-145

On 30 June 2006, the US Army selected the UH-145 for its Light Utility Helicopter Program. This was a “first-ever” in the annals of the largest helicopter operator in the world and a “first-ever” for Eurocopter, which managed to penetrate the US defense market. While the UH-145 is a European-designed helicopter, it will soon become American as most of the UH-145s will be manufactured at American Eurocopter's Columbus plant in Mississippi.

HAP Tiger > Qualification step 2
 

On 4 July 2006, the Step 2 Qualification (PB 6002 configuration) of the HAP (Combat Support) version of the Tiger was awarded by the Occar Tiger Division (ODT) following the signing of the type certification by the SPAé (Aeronautical Programs Department) on 19 June 2006.

EC135 > 500 Aircraft delivered

Ten years after its arrival on the market, the EC135 is still a highly successful aircraft. At the end of June 2006, the fleet of EC135s had a total of more than 700,000 flying hours and, on 30 August, Eurocopter delivered the 500th EC135 to the Austrian operator ÖAMTC.
