“On 15 February, we received the first of the two EC145s that we ordered. The pilots then received training at American Eurocopter in Grand Prairie. The helicopter has been operational since 15 April 2006. Our two EC145s will perform different Emergency Medical Services, Search and Rescue, fire fighting and law enforcement missions.

Our main offices are located in Austin, but we cover 18 other counties with a total land area of 20,000 square miles. With its multifunction capabilities, the EC145 is perfectly adapted to all of our missions, which are extremely varied. It is the ideal tool for us with its exceptional performance levels, roomy cabin, and NVG equipment that allow us to perform missions both day and night. Flooding is quite frequent in Texas, and we are performing more and more search and rescue missions. We're keeping our second EC145 on reserve, unless we find ourselves confronted with an extremely serious situation.”
