• Maintenance

  The Most Cost Effective Helicopter On the Battlefield

  The simple design, reliability, low fuel consumption and light maintenance make the AS550 C3 the most cost effective weapon and mission system

  The AS550 C3’s simple design and experience leads to high Time Between Overhaul (TBO), short replacement times and limited maintenance per flight hour. TBO’s have been optimized to concentrated interventions on aircraft:

  • Main Gear Box gear 3000 flight hours
  • MGB oil pump 3000 flight hours
  • Engine 3000 flight hours
  • Main and Tail servo-unit 3000 flight hours

  The simple design permits short replacement times in the field with portable crane:

  • Main Blades : 2 men

  • Tail Gear Box: 1 man
    0 hr 30
  • Tail rotor: 1 man

  • Main rotor Head: 2 men

  Limited “on helicopter” maintenance and MH/FH offers the highest mission readiness ( 600 FH per year):

  This program guarantees you that a maximum number of helicopters, all perfectly maintained, are ready to take-off at anytime everywhere in the world, with a guarantee of a minimum maintenance to do during operations.
  
  Through a customized approach with tailored made studies, we determine your needs for tools and parts inventories, we manage them and provide optimum support for your helicopters.
  
  We are committed to guarantee you flight readiness. Once we have defined your required services, for each of them, we determine an objective with its associated monitoring indicators. You are thus ensured of full fleet operational availability. .

• Technical Assistance

  Our field representatives provide you with expert knowledge for all your maintenance requirements: troubleshooting / fine-tuning, equipment installation, on-the job training, maintenance inspections. From short to long-term on-site missions, more than 200 experts are ready to help you.

• Training Eurocopter Training Academy, the key to proficiency

  With 45 years of experience, the Eurocopter Training Academy provides you with in-depth knowledge for the most complex military helicopters. We encompass a wide range of courses for pilots and technicians: from ab-initio up to the preparation of the most sophisticated military missions.

  To achieve the highest level of performance, we have developed modern training programs using customized training courseware, and innovative instructional technologies.
