03/12/2008 : Eurocopter delivers the first EC635 for the Swiss Air Force - The first EC635 destined for the Swiss Air Force was handed over to the Swiss federal procurement, technology and real estate centre armasuisse at the Eurocopter factory in Donauwörth on 7 March. Thanks to excellent and intensive cooperation with the customer, this first delivery took place two weeks prior to the contractually agreed deadline. This means that the Swiss Light Transport and Training Helicopter (LTSH) programme is running well on schedule. The contract, signed in April 2006, provides for the delivery of a total of 18 EC635 transport and training helicopters, plus two EC135s for the army’s air transport service. The EC635/EC135s will replace the Swiss air force’s Alouette III helicopters.
02/28/2008 : Major success for Eurocopter at Heli-Expo 2008: 111 signatures for its brand new EC175, 120 orders for its current range - Eurocopter encountered a tremendous success at the world’s most important Helicopter Exhibition, Heli-Expo 2008 in Houston, for its brand-new EC175, after it lifted the veil off its new 7 ton class helicopter on the first day of the Show. Eurocopter signed intentions to buy with 13 different customers during the 3 days of Heli-Expo for a total of 111 units, confirming the huge demand for such a helicopter. Eurocopter also reached outstanding bookings for the rest of its range with 120 orders, marking its continued success in extremely active North American and international markets.
02/26/2008 : Eurocopter unveils its brand-new EC175 at Heli-Expo 2008. Market Introduction of the World’s latest Technology 7 Ton Class Helicopter - At 11.30 AM on the opening day of this year’s Heli-Expo, February 24, Eurocopter lifted the veil off a brand-new member of its helicopter family: the EC175. The full-scale mock-up was highlighted on the company’s booth # 631. Eurocopter is now introducing its 16-passenger civil product to the market. Two first launch partners were present at the unveiling ceremony. They are: Bristow Group (USA) and VIH Aviation Group (Canada). Eurocopter will announce further customers during the show.
02/26/2008 : American Eurocopter Delivers the First EC225 in the United States to Era Helicopters LLC - Houston, TX – Heli-Expo 2008 - American Eurocopter marked the delivery of the first EC225 in the United States today during a ceremony at the Eurocopter booth at Heli-Expo 2008. The helicopter was delivered to Era Helicopters LLC, a subsidiary of SEACOR Holdings Inc. (NYSE:CKH). Era Helicopters will take delivery of three additional EC225’s this year, two in 2009 and two more in 2010.

02/18/2008 : Eurocopter proud to showcase strong participation at 5th Defexpo 2008 - Eurocopter, the world’s leading helicopter manufacturer, will be having a dominant presence at the four day Defexpo event, organised jointly by the Defence Exhibition Organisation and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Eurocopter’s presence at Defexpo is one more step towards continuing a long successful partnership with India, which started more than 45 years ago with the licensing agreement to produce the “Alouette” and “Lama” helicopters in India, where they became the famous “Chetak” and “Cheetah” models.

01/08/2008 : Eurocopter signs sale agreement with the Spanish Government for eleven helicopters - Eurocopter España bade farewell to 2007 with the sale of eleven new helicopters earmarked for various bodies within the Spanish Interior and Defence Ministries. As a result of these contracts, the Directorate General for Traffic (DGT) will be equipped with four AS355NP twin-engine multi-mission helicopters and two EC135 twin-engine multipurpose helicopters capable of instrument flights, which have become a world reference for police missions, with more than 600 units sold worldwide since they were first launched on the market in mid 1996. This agreement is worth approximately 20 million euros.
06/30/2008 : Poland’s Ministry of Health orders 23 Eurocopter EC135s for Nationwide Emergency Medical Services - The Polish Ministry of Health has signed a contract for 23 Eurocopter EC135 helicopters to serve its nationwide Emergency Medical Services (EMS) network. The aircraft will be delivered between 2009 and 2010. The state-of-the-art EC135s, which will replace an ageing fleet of Mi-2s, will enable Poland’s air rescue system to become fully compliant with European JAR OPS-3 standards and to offer to its population the world’s most widely used EMS helicopter of the new generation. An EC135 flight simulator is also part of the contract.
06/17/2008 : Eurocopter delivers the first EC135 helicopter for the Spanish Army Disaster Response Unit - The Spanish Army Disaster Response Unit (UME) has just taken delivery of its first EC135 helicopter. This is an important milestone in the program to equip the UME, a new unit of the Spanish Armed Forces created by the Spanish Government on 7 October 2005.

05/29/2008 : Eurocopter signs order to retrofit six more Bundeswehr CH53Gs - On May 28, at the ILA International Aerospace Exhibition, the German Federal Office for Defence Technology and Procurement (BWB) and Eurocopter Deutschland GmbH signed a contract for the retrofit of six more CH53G transport helicopters operated by the German Army to convert them to mission helicopters fitted with ballistic self protection and specific mission equipment. The order is worth approximately €24 million, a large proportion of which will go to medium-sized German equipment manufacturers. The German Army will take delivery of the urgently needed transport helicopters between May and November 2009.

05/28/2008 : Eurocopter to acquire Motorflug Baden-Baden GmbH to extend its MRO Capabilities - On May 26th, Eurocopter Deutschland GmbH signed an agreement to acquire Motorflug Baden-Baden GmbH. The German specialist for helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) with bases in Baden-Baden, Rheinmünster and Schönhagen near Berlin will become an integral part of Eurocopter’s service and support business and will complement Eurocopter’s maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities in the civil helicopter market. The acquisition of Motorflug will enable Eurocopter to offer even more comprehensive services to its customers while assuring the flexibility and reactivity its customers need.
05/27/2008 : Eurocopter displays latest-generation Product Range at ILA 2008 - Eurocopter, the world’s leading helicopter manufacturer in the civil and public services markets, will utilize this year’s ILA in Berlin to highlight its international market strength and its continuing ability to innovate. The company displays its state-of-the-art military helicopters, the Tiger combat helicopter and NH90 tactical transport helicopter, both of which are in service with several European nations as well as Australia. These two aircraft are joined by a French Air Force EC725 in Combat SAR configuration, and three of Eurocopter’s successful civil models, the EC120, EC130 and the EC135 in EMS configuration.

05/06/2008 : Austrian Minister of the Interior presents Eurocopter EC135 to Air Police in Innsbruck - Austria’s minister of the interior, Günther Platter, inaugurated the first three of the eight new EC135 helicopters destined for the country’s air police at the flight operations base in Innsbruck on 5 May. Eurocopter will deliver four of the new helicopters in time for the UEFA European Football Championship, which is being hosted by Austria and Switzerland. This enables the air police to patrol the event with state-of-the-art helicopters. Later in May, the new EC135s will also be publicly presented in Salzburg, Vienna and Klagenfurt – each of which is an important venue for Euro 2008.
04/28/2008 : Japan Coast Guard’s first two Eurocopter EC225 helicopters in operation The EC225 is the new reference for offshore SAR missions - Following the delivery of their first two EC225s in Search and Rescue (SAR) configuration a month ago, these helicopters will be launched into operation by the Japan Coast Guard today at the Kansai International Airport. They will perform public service and coastal surveillance missions as well as patrol Japan’s territorial waters. Since 1989, the Japan Coast Guard has been using four AS332L1 Super Pumas to carry out these missions. In 2007, one of these Super Pumas rescued 44 people from a cargo ship in distress, under extremely difficult weather conditions.
04/09/2008 : Successful participation of Eurocopter at Fidae 2008 - Eurocopter demonstrated a significant presence at Fidae in Chile from March 31st to April 6th, having most of its product range being presented on static or flying display. With the signature of eight new contracts during the exhibition, Eurocopter confirmed its position as the leading helicopter manufacturer in the region. During the exhibition, Eurocopter also signed major agreements with two renowned Chilean universities. It also held the first symposium in Latin America on Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS).
04/07/2008 : Eurocopter signs Distributorship Agreement with Heli Invest in Poland - Eurocopter confirms a new level of cooperation with the Warsaw-based Heli Invest Company by the signature of a Distributorship Agreement for the territory of the Republic of Poland. Eurocopter has been working with Heli Invest for the past four years. This new agreement aims at providing even better service to the company’s growing customer base in Poland.
04/07/2008 : First NH90 for Finnish Army Aviation delivered - The first of 20 NH90 TTT (Tactical Troop Transport) for the Finnish Army Aviation was delivered on March 11 at Eurocopter’s Marignane facility. It will subsequently be stationed at the Utti Base of the Finnish Defence Forces. This first aircraft was assembled by Eurocopter, while the remaining 19 will be assembled by Patria in Finland.

09/18/2008 : Eurocopter opens upgraded Cape Town Service Facility as Southern African Helicopter Market rapidly expands – and strongly supports Africa Aerospace and Defence Exhibition - Eurocopter, the world’s leading supplier of civil, law enforcement, emergency response and utility helicopters, has invested around ZAR 2 million in upgrading its Cape Town-based servicing and maintenance facility, enabling it to support a rapidly expanding Southern African customer base and fleet. The company’s regional subsidiary, Eurocopter Southern Africa (Pty.) Ltd., will officially open its newly refurbished Cape Town facility on September 18th, to coincide with the Africa Aerospace and Defence exhibition where it has a strong presence.
09/12/2008 : Eurocopter successfully leads the first firing campaign of the HAD Tiger using the Spike missile - As part of the development of the HAD (support and destruction helicopter) version of the Tiger, Eurocopter successfully completed a firing campaign using the Spike air-to-ground missile. This campaign was conducted at the El Arenosillo firing range in Spain, which belongs to the Spanish National Institute for Aerospace Technology (INTA).
08/27/2008 : Bavarian Ministry of the Interior purchases eight new EC135 Police Helicopters from Eurocopter - On August 27, the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior announced its decision in Munich to purchase eight new Eurocopter EC135 P2i helicopters for the Bavarian Police Helicopter Squadron.

07/17/2008 : Bristow Group Expands Its Eurocopter Fleet Adds two EC225s and three EC135s - At a signing ceremony yesterday during the Farnborough International Air Show, Bristow Group Inc. (NYSE: BRS) and Eurocopter/American Eurocopter announced that Bristow has exercised its option to purchase two more EC225 helicopters. These latest purchases will bring Bristow’s ordered fleet of large EC225s to 15 by the end of 2011. Also during the ceremony, the companies announced the purchase of three EC135 light twin-engine helicopters, plus the option to purchase one additional light aircraft.

07/17/2008 : Eurocopter to set up EC225 Flight Training Device in Aberdeen to reinforce local Support to its Oil and Gas Customers - Eurocopter’s investment in the United Kingdom is set to grow through expanded training services for its North Sea Oil & Gas customers in Scotland. The company intends to operate its first UK-based EC225 Flight Training Device (FTD) in Aberdeen through its fully-owned subsidiary, Eurocopter UK Ltd., starting in 2010. This initiative forms part of a more general widening of Eurocopter UK’s footprint and capabilities: having so far operated in England, Wales and Ireland, Eurocopter UK is now also reinforcing its policy of proximity to customers and state-of-the-art services in Scotland. The FTD will be qualified to JAR FSTD Level 3 standards but will also include OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) data pack and flight loop.
07/17/2008 : Eurocopter leads Homeland Security Market in the United Kingdom and strongly supports the British Armed Forces - With its presence at this year’s Farnborough Air Show (Booth No. G15 in Hall 4), Eurocopter focuses on the UK military market with its requirements for SAR and medium helicopter capabilities by displaying mock-ups of the EC725 and the NH90. Eurocopter helicopters account for 75 per cent of the existing UK and Ireland police air support market. In the military field, Eurocopter and its British partner company, FB Heliservices Ltd., provide Ministry of Defence helicopter pilot training under a COMR (Civil Owned, Military Registered) arrangement. Furthermore, the manufacturer was awarded by the UK Ministry of Defence an Assessment Phase contract for the Life Extension Programme for the RAF’s fleet of Puma helicopters in June 2007, which is managed by a Eurocopter/MoD Joint Project Office (JPO) based in Bristol.

12/23/2008 : Eurocopter and Helibras sign a historic contract with the Brazilian government - Following the EU-Brazil summit, President Nicolas Sarkozy of France and President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of Brazil officially announced the contract for 50 EC725 helicopters which has been signed by the Brazilian government and a consortium formed by Eurocopter and Helibras. The helicopters will be operated by Brazil’s armed forces and the first deliveries are scheduled for 2010. This is the largest contract ever signed in South America and will provide Brazil with a fleet that is capable of performing an extremely wide range of missions. The contract will also allow Eurocopter to continue its expansion in South America.
12/22/2008 : Eurocopter UK receives first ever UK helicopter order for offshore wind farm maintenance - Eurocopter UK is delighted to announce the first UK order for a wind farm maintenance helicopter in the UK. Bond Air Services has ordered an EC135 for maintenance work at the Greater Gabbard offshore wind farm starting end of 2009.
12/19/2008 : Eurocopter and UK Ministry of Defence sign Through-Life Support Contract for Royal Air Force Puma and Gazelle Helicopters - Eurocopter and the UK Ministry of Defence signed a contract for the through-life support (TLS) of the Royal Air Force fleet of all Puma and Gazelle helicopters on December 19, 2008. This contract will run up to end of March 2013.
12/16/2008 : American Eurocopter’s Flight Simulator is Operational Army aviators first to train in EC145 flight training device - Grand Prairie, TX – December 16, 2008 – American Eurocopter announced today that the first full motion EC135/EC145 flight training device (FTD) is operational at the company’s training facility in Grand Prairie, TX. The first operation of the simulator occurred during the first week of December with the training of U.S. Army Aviators on the EC145.
12/16/2008 : EADS North America Delivers the 50th UH-72A Lakota Light Utility Helicopter to the U.S. Army - COLUMBUS, Miss., Dec. 16, 2008 – EADS North America delivered the 50th UH-72A Lakota Light Utility Helicopter to the U.S. Army today. This delivery marks another on-time milestone in the acquisition and fielding of the UH-72A to satisfy the Army’s Light Utility Helicopter (LUH) program.
11/28/2008 : Helicopter Transport Service for Hospitals - To meet the needs of the French public health system, Eurocopter has teamed up with the hospital in Dreux, the French association of helicopter emergency medical services (AFHSH), and the French civil aviation authority (DGAC) to conduct a series of instrument flight tests that will, in the near future, allow patients to be transported by helicopter from one hospital to another even under poor weather conditions.
11/26/2008 : Eurocopter delivers the first EC135 helicopter manufactured in Albacete - Lutz Bertling, President and CEO of Eurocopter and Juan Carlos Martinez Saiz, CEO of Eurocopter in Spain, handed over the first EC135 manufactured in Albacete to the Ministry of Defence for the operations of the UME (Spanish Army Response Unit) today.

10/17/2008 : Ministry of Emergencies of Ukraine and Eurocopter sign contract for rescue and emergency missions helicopters - The Ministry of Emergencies of Ukraine and Eurocopter signed a contract for the acquisition of two Eurocopter helicopters of the type EC145. Based in the Kiev region, they will be used for a wide range of missions that cover rescue, emergency medical evacuation and fire fighting. The aircrafts will be delivered in 2009.

10/13/2008 : HeliSim inaugurates World’s first Eurocopter EC225 Full Flight Simulator - HeliSim and Eurocopter officially inaugurated the first EC225 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) in Marignane, France, on October 10th. The addition of this new FFS to HeliSim’s scope of simulators further enhances Eurocopter’s commitment to reinforcing its training capabilities for its customers, with flight safety being a top priority to the company.

10/09/2008 : EADS North America Begins Deliveries of U.S. Army UH-72A Helicopters Produced at the Eurocopter facility in Mississippi - EADS North America marked a major industrial milestone for the U.S. Army’s UH-72A Lakota Light Utility Helicopter program, delivering its first final assembly line (FAL) aircraft from the Eurocopter production facility at Columbus, Mississippi.
