03/29/2007 : First Australian NH90 Multi role helicopter (MRH90) successfully performed its maiden flight at Eurocopter in Marignane - Eurocopter has passed a central milestone in the Australian MRH90 helicopter procurement programme, having yesterday (March 28th) successfully undertaken the initial flight of the first MRH90 produced and assembled in Marignane, France.

03/20/2007 : Eurocopter is Celebrating the Centenary of the Helicopter: The Invention of the Fenestron - Forty years ago - on 7 April 1967, to be precise - the first Gazelle prototype manufactured by Sud Aviation took off from Marignane. This new, five-seat, light helicopter was designed to take over from the Alouette 2 and had a very sleek profile and ultra-modern lines.
03/05/2007 : AGUSTAWESTLAND AND EUROCOPTER JOINTLY CONFIRM THEIR COMMITMENT TO THE SUCCESS OF THE NH90 - In the frame of the HAI 2007 convention in Orlando, Florida, which has been the occasion for both companies to reassess their respective commercial successes, AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, and Eurocopter, an EADS company, took the opportunity to confirm their joint commitment to the NH90 programme.
03/01/2007 : Eurocopter and CHC Helicopter Corporation Sign Contract for 16 EC225 Helicopters at Heli-Expo - Eurocopter and CHC Helicopter Corporation (“CHC”) (TSX: FLY.A and FLY.B; NYSE: FLI) jointly announced at Heli-Expo that they have entered into a contract for the delivery of 16 new EC225 helicopters. The 16 aircraft are expected to be delivered between late 2008 and late 2012. CHC plans to put these aircraft into service as part of the Company’s fleet renewal plan, in support of new offshore oil and gas contracts, and potentially as Search and Rescue (SAR) aircraft. CHC is making this commitment to meet the unprecedented demand from our various customers including both the offshore oil and gas industry and government sponsored SAR.

03/01/2007 : Bristow Group Inc. signs three Orders and eight Options for Eurocopter EC225 at Heli-Expo 2007 - Bristow Group Inc. signed an order at this year’s Heli-Expo for three EC225 helicopters all for delivery in 2008 and options for additional eight EC225 helicopters, six with delivery dates in 2009 and two in 2010, adding to the company’s previous orders for six EC225 which were placed in 2004 and 2005.

02/15/2007 : Eurocopter celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the Maiden Flight of the BO105, the World’s first light twin-turbine Production Helicopter - On February 16, 1967, the BO105 took off for its maiden flight in Ottobrunn (near Munich), Germany. At the controls was Wilfried von Engelhardt, test pilot at MBB (Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm), the German predecessor company of Eurocopter. The BO105 was the world’s first light twin-engine helicopter and the world’s first to feature a hingeless titanium main rotor without flap and lag hinges, and composite rotor blades. Trademarked “Rotor System Bölkow”, this innovative four-blade system gave unparalleled manoeuverability to the BO105, which laid the foundation to the German helicopter industry after World War II and was to become an aviation legend.

01/31/2007 : Eurocopter hands over the first two of a total of sixteen EC135 rescue helicopters to the German Ministry of the Interior. The German Ministry of the Interior purchases latest generation helicopters for use in air rescue - The German Ministry of the Interior, one of Eurocopter’s largest civilian customers worldwide, took delivery of the first pair of a total of sixteen EC135 air rescue helicopters at Eurocopter’s Donauwörth plant on January 31, 2007. Over the next two years, twelve air rescue sites will be equipped with these top-quality aircraft.

01/08/2007 : Eurocopter EC135 and EC145 helicopters to complete Lithuanian Border Guard fleet arrive at Vilnius State-of-the-art equipment packages for all-type law enforcement and surveillance missions - Lithuania is starting into a new era of helicopter-supported border surveillance. As the first of three Baltic countries to receive new helicopters for law enforcement missions through financing by the Schengen facilities, the Lithuanian government, which has been operating Eurocopter EC120 Colibri since 2002, received three highly modern and fully mission-equipped Eurocopter aircraft. Two EC135 and one EC145 arrived in Vilnius and were delivered to the Lithuanian Border Guard. Both EC135 and EC145 as configured for the Lithuanian authorities are equipped with latest avionics such as glass cockpit, NVG (Night Vision Goggles) capability and an improved FMS (Flight Management System). The new helicopters were ordered at the beginning of 2006 and delivered within the same year.

German Federal Police purchases latest generation light helicopters for use in ab initio pi - In a ceremony at Eurocopter’s facility in Marignane, France on June 28th, the German Ministry of the Interior, one of Eurocopter’s largest civilian customers worldwide, took delivery of the first of a total of six EC120 training helicopters. This aircraft was actually the 500th EC120 delivered by Eurocopter to date. The German Federal Police intend to use this helicopter type for ab initio training of its own pilot personnel. The EC120 will replace an aging Alouette II fleet.
06/25/2007 : Eurocopter registers 114 Orders at Paris Air Show, confirming its international Market Success - Eurocopter logged record bookings for a total of 114 helicopters at this year’s Paris Air Show. The combined value of the contracts signed at the show amounts to over € 1.2 billion. The spectrum of customers placing new orders in Paris ranged from governments booking for military aircraft, to commercial operators in the oil and gas industry, in emergency medical services, training, VIP/corporate as well as utility and tourist missions, and covered almost the entire product line of Eurocopter. With the remarkable sales success achieved at the show, Eurocopter aims at achieving around 700 bookings by year-end.

This centre will provide full maintenance and revision services for Eurocopter helicopters in the region in order to enhance the support provided to local and regional customers in their daily operations. A fleet of around 650 Eurocopter helicopters is in service throughout the Arabian Gulf region, with military and civil operators.

05/23/2007 : First Eurocopter EC635 for Swiss Air Force takes to the Air - The first EC635 destined for the Swiss Air Force successfully performed its maiden flight at Eurocopter’s Donauwörth facility on May 23. The program, which foresees the delivery of a total of 18 EC635 for transport and training missions and two EC135 for Federal Air Transport Services and for which the contract was signed in April 2006, is fully on schedule. The EC635s/EC135s will successively replace the Swiss Air Force’s Alouette III helicopters.
05/23/2007 : Eurocopter to introduce EC135 Flight Simulation Training Device in Europe and the United States Helicopter Manufacturer further increases Simulator Offer to its Customers - Eurocopter announced at EBACE that it is installing flight training devices including six-axis, full-motion simulators for its EC135 light twin-engined helicopter in its Donauwörth (Germany) and Dallas (USA) facilities in the last quarter of 2007 to further enhance its training offer to its customers. Main objectives of this investment are to offer to its customers a realistic mission environment, increase safety, improve handling of emergencies, demonstrate operational proficiency and to provide training independent of weather conditions or aircraft availability. The simulators will be certified for training in March 2008 according to JAR-STD2H Level 3 and FAA-Part 60 FTD Level 6. Reservations are accepted as of now.

09/14/2007 : Botswana launches Police Airwing with three Eurocopter AS350 B3 Helicopters - The Botswana Police Service, represented by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Thebeyame E. Tsimako, and Eurocopter Southern Africa Pty. Ltd, signed a contract in Gaborone on September 13 for the purchase of three Eurocopter AS350 B3 helicopters to serve its newly-formed Police Air Support . Two of the aircraft will be delivered in December 2008, and the remaining one in August 2009.
09/12/2007 : Eurocopter leads Homeland Security Market in the United Kingdom and strongly supports the British Armed Forces - With its strong presence at this year’s DSEi (Booth No. 1177 in South Hall), Eurocopter highlights its commitment to the UK governmental helicopter market. Eurocopter helicopters account for 74 per cent of the existing UK and Ireland police air support market, with the company’s EC135 accounting for 57 per cent of the helicopters deployed in this role. The larger EC145 is a complementary helicopter platform to the EC135, adding a new dimension in terms of multi-role capability and lift capacity required in view of the new climate of extra vigilance against terrorism. In the military field, Eurocopter and its British partner company, FB Heliservices Ltd., provide Ministry of Defence helicopter pilot training under a COMR (Commercially Owned, Military Registered) arrangement. Furthermore, the manufacturer has been awarded by the UK Ministry of Defence an Assessment Phase contract for the Life Extension Programme for the RAF’s fleet of Puma Mk1 helicopters in June 2007, to be managed by a Eurocopter/MoD Joint Project Office already operational in Bristol.

Eurocopter is the first Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to offer this capability to civil operators.

12/18/2007 : First MRH90 Multi-Role Helicopters Delivered to Australia - The Australian Armed Forces took formally delivery today of the first two of 46 new, large and fast, troop carrying helicopters in Brisbane at Australian Aerospace, Eurocopter subsidiary. This hand-over ceremony, which was preceded by a fly-past of the two MRH90, was attended by an impressive grouping of the nation’s leaders, Federal, State and Local government officials, senior officers of the Australian Defence Force, and senior executives of Eurocopter, including CEO Lutz Bertling, Australian Aerospace, EADS and industry partners.
12/17/2007 : Tiger HAD maiden flight performed on December 14th, 2007 - The first flight of the HAD version of the Tiger (HAD S/N 5001) has taken place in Marignane (France) on December 14th, 2007, at the exact date forecasted in the Tiger HAD development contract signed two years ago between Eurocopter Tiger and the international armament organisation OCCAR. The flight clearance had been granted by the French military airworthiness authority DGA on the 11th of December 2007 and had been followed by the usual ground runs process prior to the first flight.
12/17/2007 : DGA orders 5 Eurocopter EC145 helicopters for Sécurité Civile - Délégation Générale pour l’Armement (DGA) signed a contract with Eurocopter for 5 new EC145 (3 firm and 2 options) to be used by Sécurité Civile. The aircraft will be delivered from January 2009 enabling Sécurité Civile to face out the remaining 6 Alouette III helicopters.
12/04/2007 : DGA orders 68 NH90 helicopters for French army - The French Defence Procurement Agency DGA has ordered via NAHEMA 68 NH90 helicopters in the terrestrial version i.e TTH (Tactical Transport Helicopter) from the NHIndustries consortium (Eurocopter 62.5%, AgustaWestland 32% and Stork Fokker 5.5%). 12 of these are firm orders. This raises the total value of the deal to €1.8 billion all taxes including. France will order a further 22 helicopters in 2008, and another 34 in 2010.

12/03/2007 : Netherlands Police Agency orders six Eurocopter EC135 Helicopters - The Ministry of Interior Affairs and Kingdom Relations of the Netherlands signed a contract on November 28 for six Eurocopter EC135 P2i light twin-engine helicopters for the Dutch Police, KLPD (Korps landelijke politiediensten). The aircraft are to be delivered between mid-2009 and the end of 2009 and will replace the BO105s presently in service with KLPD. Eurocopter is proud to be adding the KLPD to its list of prestigious EC135 law enforcement customers.
11/28/2007 : Eurocopter is Celebrating the Centenary of the Helicopter: 100 years of helicopters, 54 years of records for Eurocopter - The fledgling aviation industry drew its impetus from records that were continuously beaten by the very rapid progress in technology. Beating a record not only proved that one could go faster, higher and further, but, above all, that the technology behind this result had been mastered. The helicopter was no exception to the rule. As soon as engineers had come to grips with the basic rudiments of vertical flight, the race to achieve new performance records was launched.

11/11/2007 : Eurocopter develops Corporate and Parapublic missions in the Gulf region and reinforces support to Middle Eastern customers - Eurocopter started its operations in the Middle East by meeting the region's need for military helicopters 35 years ago, with the first generations of Gazelle and Puma helicopters. 10/31/2007 : Eurocopter inaugurates 24/7 Hotline to further improve Customer Support - As part of its continuous efforts to further improve its services to the customers and enhance customer satisfaction, Eurocopter has recently inaugurated a "Customer Support Centre" (CSC) which will be manned 24 hours a day/7 days a week. The CSC will initially be accessible to customers in Europe. Supported by the logistics platforms in Hong Kong and Dallas, the CSC will go global in late 2007, ensuring that customers anywhere in the world can call day or night and receive the same high quality of service.

10/05/2007 : Eurocopter develops new means to perform fire-fighting missions. Positive Assessment of the EC 725/EC225 in Water Bomber Configuration after a Ten-Week Operation in Corsica. - From 2 July to 7 September 2007, an EC725 from the French Air Force was evaluated for its capacities during aerial fire-fighting missions. During a joint experiment between Eurocopter and the Ministry of Interior (Direction de Sécurité Civile), the helicopter was operated by Eurocopter’s flight test team and customer support department, who were responsible for the helicopter.
10/05/2007 : Era Helicopters, LLC signs for four additional EC225, Bringing its Total to Eight - Era Helicopters, LLC (“Era”) of Lakes Charles, Louisiana, signed a contract for an additional four EC225 helicopters at Helitech on October 3, bringing its total orders for this aircraft type to eight. Era is the first offshore oil and gas operator to have selected the EC225 for operations in the Gulf of Mexico, having signed its first Memorandum of Understanding for initially two EC225s at HeliExpo 2006.
10/05/2007 : Devon and Cornwall Constabulary signs Purchase Agreement for Eurocopter EC145 - Eurocopter and its UK distributor, McAlpine Helicopters Ltd., are pleased to announce at Helitech the signature of a purchase agreement with the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary for an EC145 to be used in the police air support role. Delivery is due by the end of 2009. The Devon and Cornwall Constabulary is a long-standing Eurocopter customer and presently operates a BK117. Following the London Metropolitan Police, it is the second law enforcement agency in the United Kingdom to have selected the EC145.
10/02/2007 : Eurocopter highlights its Market Leadership at Helitech 2007 with Police and Corporate Helicopters on Display - Eurocopter and its UK distributor, McAlpine Helicopters Ltd., are present at Helitech with a joint booth (No. 1106) and a strong line-up of its state-of-the-art helicopters in the Static Display. One of the three EC145s of the London Metropolitan Police is joined by Eurocopter’s latest generation of private and corporate helicopters, all of them customer aircraft - an EC120, EC130, EC135 and EC155.
10/02/2007 : Austrian Ministry of Interior Orders Eight Eurocopter EC135s for its Police Force - On 26 September, the Austrian interior ministry signed a purchase agreement for eight Eurocopter EC135 P2i light twin-engine helicopters for police operations. Four of the machines are scheduled to be delivered in March 2008, followed by two each in March and May 2009 respectively.
