03/21/2005 : Maiden Flight of the High-Cabin NH90 for the Swedish Armed Forces - Eurocopter is pleased to announce that the first production NH90 helicopter in the high cabin version for the Swedish Armed Forces has performed its maiden flight at Eurocopter’s plant in Marignane, France, on March 18.
03/18/2005 : Eurocopter proudly announces the official acceptance of the first HAP Tiger by the Délégation Générale pour l’Armement. - Engineer General Jacques Sandeau was at Marignane on 18 March to officially deliver the first of its 80 Tiger helicopters to the French Army Air Corps (ALAT). General Sandeau heads the Service des Programmes Aéronautiques (Aeronautical Programs Department) of the Délégation Générale pour l’Armement (French General Delegation for Armaments).
03/14/2005 : Eurocopter celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the maiden flight of the Alouette 2, the first turbine-powered helicopter to enter series production - On 12 March 1955, the Alouette 2 prototype took to the air for the first time from the Buc airfield near Paris. It went on to become the very first turbine-powered helicopter in series production in the world.
03/07/2005 : Level D Qualification for HELISIM's EC155 Full Flight Simulator - EUROCOPTER is pleased to announce that HELISIM was awarded the level D qualification for its EC155 simulator on February 8, 2005.
02/09/2005 : SOS Helicopter of Sweden orders first EC 145 in the Scandinavian Market - SOS Helicopter Gotland AB, an EMS operator based on the Swedish island of Gotland, is the first Scandinavian operator to have ordered an EC 145. The contract was signed on February 1st, delivery will take place in October 2005.
02/09/2005 : EC 225 and EC 155 in Oil and Gas Services: Eurocopter Aircraft selected for Shell North Sea Operations - Following a very competitive tender, Shell Exploration and Production has awarded Bristow Helicopters a 7-year contract for crew-change transport operations throughout the United Kingdom and the Dutch sectors of the North Sea. As the launch customer of the EC 225 for Oil and Gas operations, Bristow confirms their plans to operate this latest type of helicopter for this contract for Aberdeen/Scotland operations, and the EC 155s for the Southern sectors of the North Sea.
02/07/2005 : EC 155 benefits from increased Take-Off Weight, enhanced Performance and expanded Operating Envelope - Beginning of 2005, 63 EC 155s were delivered, having chalked up 54.000 flight hours. Eurocopter has profited from all the experience acquired in the field to upgrade the helicopter, which has now reached maturity. Recent modifications to the EC 155 have made it possible to expand the operating envelope and to improve flight preparation and maintenance.
02/06/2005 : With 76 Eurocopters Already in fleet, C.J Systems Aviation Group Orders Ten EC135s and Two EC145s - With 110 helicopters providing air support to 80 different hospital-based Air Medical Service (AMS) units nationwide, CJ Systems Aviation Group is one of this country’s largest AMS operators. With 76 Eurocopter aircraft accounting for three quarters of its fleet, CJ Systems Aviation Group is also “the largest Eurocopter customer in the US”, says Ed Marasco, Senior Vice President of the Company’s AMS division. “We started using Eurocopter BK117 when we signed our first AMS contract in 1984. That was serial number 009, by the way ; it is still in our fleet!’’’’

02/06/2005 : The PHI Oil & Gas Division and PHI Air Medical Division have placed an order for ten Eurocopter 135P2 helicopters - In a far reaching move, the PHI Oil & Gas Division and PHI Air Medical Division have placed an order for ten Eurocopter 135P2 helicopters with an option for ten additional EC 135 P2 helicopters. PHI will operate the aircraft in air medical roles around the country as well as supporting the offshore energy sector. Petroleum Helicopters is based in Lafayette, Louisiana.
01/28/2005 : 12 Cougars and 6 Panthers for the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense - On January 28, 2005, Mr. Svinarov, the Bulgarian Defense Minister and Mr. Luc Barrière, the Eurocopter Senior Vice-President for Sales & Marketing, signed a contract in Sofia for the supply of twelve AS 532 AL Cougar helicopters and six AS 565 MB Panther helicopters.
01/25/2005 : Good Business Year in 2004 for Eurocopter, which has Considerably Expanded its Order Book and Strengthened its No. 1 Position - In 2004, Eurocopter secured its position as the world's No. 1 with orders for 332 new helicopters and a turnover up by 7%, while leading the way once again in the civil and parapublic sectors, and strengthening the export prospects of the NH90.

01/14/2005 : THE SPANISH DEFENSE MINISTRY RECEIVES TWO AS 532 UL COUGARS IN THE VIP VERSION - In late 2004, Eurocopter España delivered two AS 532 UL Cougars in VIP version to the Spanish Defense Ministry.

06/30/2005 : Mexican Navy receives 2 Panther Helicopters - In a ceremony at Marignane, Eurocopter officially handed over the keys of two Panther helicopters to Commander General and Staff College Graduate (CG. DEM) Admiral Armando Sánchez Moreno, who is Under Secretary of the Mexican Navy. The helicopters will be operated by the Navy of the United Mexican States.
06/02/2005 : HELLFIRE FIRST FIRING FROM TIGER ARMED RECONNAISSANCE HELICOPTER (ARH) IN WOOMERA (SA) - On Saturday 28 May 2005, the first Tiger Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter, presently supporting the development and integration of the Lockheed Martin Hellfire II air to ground missile system, performed a successful first firing of an inert missile at the Commonwealth Defence firing range at Woomera, South Australia. This firing was performed at a distance of 6 Km using the on board laser designator, the missile hit the centre of the APC like target as predicted.
06/02/2005 : AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE FORCE SIGNS CONTRACT FOR NEW ARMY HELICOPTER - Eurocopter welcomes the signature today in Canberra of a contract for 12 MRH90 to the benefit of the Australian Defence Force. The contract was signed between the Australian Defence Materiel Organisation and Australian Aerospace, a Eurocopter subsidiary.
05/24/2005 : World Première: A Eurocopter single-engine serial Ecureuil/AStar AS350 B3 lands on the TOP of the world. - On May 14th, 2005 at 7h08 (local time), a serial Ecureuil/AStar AS 350 B3 piloted by the EUROCOPTER X-test pilot Didier Delsalle, landed at 8,850 meters (29,035ft) on the top of the Mount Everest (Kingdom of Nepal).

05/12/2005 : Eurocopter Creates a New Plant in Albacete (Spain) - Eurocopter has decided to create a new plant in Albacete, close to the Air Force base of Los Llanos (Castilla-La Mancha), in line with the industrial plan agreed within the framework of the TIGER helicopter program.
05/12/2005 : Inauguration of the Large Blade Workshop At the Eurocopter Plant in La Courneuve - The Eurocopter president, Fabrice Brégier, inaugurated the AGP - the new workshop dedicated to the series production of large dimension helicopter blades - at the plant in La Courneuve, at a ceremony attended by numerous VIPs.
04/28/2005 : Eurocopter delivers 400th EC135 for Offshore Operations in Mexico - The 400th EC135 light twin from the Eurocopter production line has been handed over to Transportes Aéreos Pegaso in Mexico City. This was the third EC135 delivered to Pegaso within this year. The helicopters are serving the PEMEX (Petróleos Mexicanos) offshore oil platforms in the Gulf of Mexico, operating out of Pegaso’s main base in Ciudad del Carmen. The three EC135s join an already sizeable fleet of Eurocopter helicopters operated by Pegaso, including one AS350, six BK117s, three BO105s and one EC145.
04/07/2005 : Delivery of the first serial support helicopter UH-TIGER to German Army Aviation - The first serial support helicopter UH-TIGER has been delivered on April 6 to German Army Aviation. The helicopter will start operations in the Franco-German Army Aviation Training Centre at LE LUC in the south of France.
04/06/2005 : HELICOPTER SHUTTLE SELECTS EC 130 FOR DUAL DUTY - April 6, 2005, Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Helicoptershuttle.com, which specializes in executive air travel and sightseeing tours around Fort Lauderdale, has selected the Eurocopter EC 130 B4 as the latest addition to its six helicopter fleet.
09/29/2005 : Eurocopter Achieves FAA Approval to Manufacture AS350 B2s and B3s in the US - The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has approved Eurocopter’s application to build A-Star 350 B2 and B3 helicopters at American Eurocopter’s state-of-the-art 85,000 square foot facility in Columbus, Mississippi.
09/27/2005 : Irish Air Corps takes Delivery of its first EC 135 - The Irish Air Corps, the air element of the Irish Defence Forces, has taken delivery of the first of two EC 135 P2 helicopters in late September. The second aircraft is due in October. As part of the Air Corps’ fleet upgrade programme, the EC 135s will be used primarily for pilot training, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Army support.
09/21/2005 : Eurocopter delivers an EC155 B1 helicopter to CITIC Offshore Helicopter Corporation Ltd - On 19 September 2005 at Shenzen, Eurocopter officially handed over the keys of an EC155 B1 helicopter to Mr. Li Jian Yi, who heads CITIC Offshore Helicopter Corporation Ltd.
09/20/2005 : EC 225 certified for restriction-free operations in icing conditions - This year, at the end of August, the new European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) awarded the EC 225 helicopter an airworthiness certificate for unrestricted operations in icing conditions. The EC225 thus became the first helicopter in its category to be certified to the most recent and stringent icing regulations.
09/12/2005 : Eurocopter delivers an EC155 B1 helicopter to the Principality of Monaco - In the presence of his Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, Mr. Olivier Lambert, who is the Eurocopter Executive Vice President for Commercial Affairs, officially handed over the keys of the EC155 B1 helicopter to Mr. Salim Zeghdar, who is Executive Director of Monacair. The helicopter will be jointly operated with Heli-Air Monaco - a "first" for the Principality. The ceremony, which was held at the Monaco heliport, was attended by numerous political, industrial, and economic leaders and by the press.
09/12/2005 : Eurocopter and the Community of Castilla-La Mancha sign an MoU To Develop the Region's Aeronautical Industry - Following Spain's decision to acquire the Tiger combat helicopter, Mr. José Maria Barreda, President of the Community of Castilla-La Mancha, and Mr. Fabrice Brégier, President of the Eurocopter Group, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that officializes Eurocopter's selection of the Albacete site for its new manufacturing plant.
09/08/2005 : Eurocopter Prevails in the Race for the First Successful Helicopter Flight with an Electrical Flap Control System - On 8 September 2005 at 2 p.m., the experimental helicopter of the type BK 117 lifted off from the Eurocopter site at Donauwörth for its official maiden flight with an electrical flap control system. This means that Eurocopter has now reached a milestone in the development of a trendsetting helicopter control technology and thus positioned itself ahead of the international technology competition concerning the area of so-called "adaptative rotor systems," surpassing the key competitors Japan and the U.S.
09/06/2005 : 2007 Introduction by HELISIM of a New Full Flight Level D Simulator for the Eurocopter EC 225 and EC 725 Helicopters - In keeping with its development plan, HELISIM will offer customers a new Full Flight Level D simulator for the Eurocopter EC 225 and EC 725 helicopters in 2007.
09/05/2005 : Eurocopter's Subsidiary in the United States Mobilizes Airborne Relief Missions for Hurricane Katrina Victims - Eurocopter via its subsidiary American Eurocopter is carrying out critical rescue and support missions in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, conducting operations that have included challenging rooftop airlifts and evacuation flights from an Interstate levee.
07/25/2005 : The First Hellenic Serial Production NH 90 Flies at the Eurocopter Marignane Facility - This is at the Eurocopter Marignane facility that the first Hellenic serial production NH90 successfully took to the air today for a 95 minutes flight. The aircraft was flown by Boniface Jean-Pierre ROLDAN, experimental test pilot, Dominique FOURNIER, flight test engineer and Jean-Claude Rabany flight engineer.
07/13/2005 : Eurocopter Greets the Maiden Flight of the First Patria assembled NH90 helicopter - The first Patria assembled NH90 helicopter, KH-202, has made its successful maiden flight in Halli, Jämsä today, on July 13. The flight time was 65 minutes.
07/11/2005 : 10 AS350 B3 ECUREUILS FOR THE NORWEGIAN HELICOPTER TRANSPORTATION GROUP - The Paris Air Show was the backdrop for the contract signed by Helicopter Transportation Group A/S and Eurocopter for the supply of 5 AS350 B3 Ecureuils helicopters plus 5 options.
07/06/2005 : Heli Invest and Eurocopter sign an agreement to set up a Maintenance Center in Poland - On 16 June, Mr. Jurek Wilczynski, President of Heli Invest (Poland) and Mr. Jean-Pierre Dedieu, Executive Vice President of Eurocopter Customer Support, signed a contract covering the creation of a maintenance center.

12/15/2005 : CHC selects EC 225 for North Sea Offshore Services – two firm Orders and four Options signed - HELI-ONE, a fully incorporated branch of CHC Helicopter Corporation announces proudly with Eurocopter its selection of the EC 225 for oil and gas offshore services in the North Sea. The company has confirmed its initial commitment from 2001 and proceeded with the purchase of 2 helicopters. Additionally, HELI-ONE placed additional options to anticipate its activity growth in an increasing market demand for heavy helicopters. Two of these EC 225s will be operated for Total E&P UK PLC under a five-year contract awarded in October. This brings total 2005 orders for the EC 225 for the oil and gas market to eight firm orders plus four options.
12/14/2005 : Bristow Helicopters Ltd. Orders two more EC 225, bringing its Fleet up to Six - At this year’s LIMA show in Malaysia, Bristow Helicopters Ltd. announced an order for two more EC 225 helicopters for oil and gas services. The company was launch customer for the passenger transport version of this aircraft, to be employed in North Sea offshore oil and gas operations. Two EC 225s were ordered in 2004 and delivered in the summer of 2005. Another two were ordered in May 2005 for 2006 delivery. This new order - an option under the May 2005 order, now confirmed - brings the total of EC 225s with Bristow Helicopters Ltd. to six. The helicopters will initially be based in Aberdeen, Scotland.
12/13/2005 : BELGIUM SELECTS THE NH90HELICOPTER - NHIndustries is very pleased to welcome Belgium as the 14th Country to select the NH90: “following the proposition of the Belgian Ministry of Defence Mr. André Flahaut, the Council Minister authorised today the launching of the proce-dure for the acquisition of 10 NH90 multirole helicopters by entering into the International Programme Organisation NAHEMO.”
12/13/2005 : Korean Government Selects Eurocopter - The Korean Government has just announced its choice of Eurocopter as the primary partner of Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) in the KHP program for the development of Korea's first military transport helicopter.

11/28/2005 : Nonstop Success for the Ecureuil Family Delivery of the 3,000th Single-Engine Ecureuil to the South African Police - On 28 November, in the presence of Mrs. Nomasonto Maria Sibanda Thusi, the South African Ambassador to France, the 3000th single-engine Ecureuil to come off the Marignane production lines was handed over to the South African National Police Authority. The Ecureuil, an AS350 B3, will be employed in fighting crime and aiding the population.
11/21/2005 : The NH90 Reaches the Top - The NH90 came through its high altitude tests in Ecuador from 13 September to 5 October 2005 with flying colors. The goal was to extend the takeoff and landing envelope of the helicopter to level 130 (approximately 4000 m).
11/04/2005 : Eurocopter displays an EC120 B Colibri at the Grand Palais for the "Fête des Transports" - As the world's leading helicopter manufacturer, Eurocopter is proud to participate in the "Fête des transports" by putting an EC120 B Colibri on display at the Grand Palais in Paris. The show is organized under the patronage of the French Presidency and the French Ministries of Transport and Defense.

10/24/2005 : The NH90 ends French Army Operational Engineering Trials with Flying Colors - From 17 to 30 September 2005, the NH90 was in the hands of the Gamstat (Airmobile Group of the French Army Engineering Branch) for an evaluation of its tactical capabilities. The test aircraft was the PT4 with German Army markings.
10/05/2005 : As part of the Mercure Project, EC has inaugurated a new dynamic component overhaul & repair workshop to better satisfy its customers - The Mercure Project's new Overhaul & Repair Workshop for dynamic components was inaugurated at Marignane on Wednesday 5 October 2005 in a ceremony attended by Fabrice Brégier, President of the Eurocopter Group, and numerous customers.
