EC225
Scotland: The Aberdeen Service Center offers an EC225 simulator for offshore operators in the North Sea, designed for oil and gas and SAR training. Apart from the simulator itself, there is also a FLIR trainer built into the simulation so that entire SAR crews, including FLIR operators, can be trained.
Malaysia: A brand-new EC225 Full Flight Simulator training center, located in Subang (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia), will be ready in 2012 with the same training capabilities as the Aberdeen Service Center (Offshore, SAR, FLIR, night helideck, etc.) extended by some specific features in order to meet both the training needs of Air Forces, Offshore, and SAR operators in South East Asia region.
Brazil: The same kind of EC225 simulator, addressing the training needs of both the Brazil forces as well as the offshore operators, will be implemented in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
China: In early 2011 Eurocopter signed an agreement for a new EC225 simulator to be installed at the Airbus Training Center in Beijing. This simulator reflects Eurocopter’s commitment to provide new training solutions in China. It will be ready for training mid-2012. With a configuration similar to the EC225 simulator at Aberdeen, this EC225 simulator will be the first helicopter simulator in China and will provide its services to customers in the region.
Dauphin AS365 N3
France: At the end of 2011 the world’s first simulator for the Dauphin N3 will open its doors at the operator’ Heli-Union’s training facilities in Angoulême in southwest France. With an original OEM data package, the simulator is reconfigurable in a matter of hours, enabling its adaptation to both older and more recent versions of the N3.
Singapore: ESEA, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eurocopter, will have a simulator for the Dauphin AS365 N3 at its new facilities to provide services for offshore operators in the area as of mid 2012.
