Focke-Achgelis

Heinrich Focke and Gerd Achgelis founded in 1937 an aircraft company, specialized in helicopters. Focke-Achgelis GmbH developed the FA330, a rotor kite that a submarine could tow to search any targets. After the World War II, the company was not allowed to continue production until 1951. The production of gliders was launched. In 1963, the company merged with Vereinigte Flugtechnische Werke (VFW).
