01. What services do you offer?

Eurocopter has developed a full array of services to meet all your requirements: 

    • You require a fast overhaul or repair? Then we recommend our express service, which will repair/overhaul your  
      component in 2 weeks to 6 weeks, depending on the type of component and the helicopter model. 

    • If you have an urgent need for a part? Then our standard exchange service can get the part to you within 48H (if part available in the pool). 

      • Or perhaps you want cost control? Then, we propose you different programs depending on your repair needs:

        • In addition to the classical OEM repair & overhaul, the Repair By the Hour service (RBH) allows you to control your expenses thanks to the payment per flight hour. Part is made according to guaranteed repair & overhaul TAT.

        • The Parts By the Hour service (PBH) is a comprehensive program based on payment per flight hour rather than payment when maintenance activity occurs both for scheduled and unscheduled operations. Part replacement is guaranteed within 24H F.C.A/72H C.I.P thanks to dedicated inventories

    • Last of all, our standard repair service will suit your needs if you have your own inventory and your own financial
      solutions.

As we fully understand your need of cost control, we propose you two programs which allow you to keep close tabs on your budget depending on your repair needs:

    • The Repair By the Hour service (RBH): In addition to the classical OEM repair & overhaul, this service allows you to control your expenses thanks to the payment per flight hour. Part replacement is made available according to guaranteed repair or overhaul TAT

    • The Parts By the Hour service (PBH): This service is a comprehensive program based on payment per flight hour rather than payment when maintenance activity occurs both for scheduled and unscheduled removals. Part replacement is guaranteed within 24H F.C.A / 72 H C.I.P thanks to dedicated inventories.

One of the features of these two services is to build up a provisioning fund for the TBO components, therefore you never have big expenses. You have therefore a perfectly control of your maintenance costs.

You will opt for one or the other service depending on your own stock capability level.

03. What are the advantages of the Repair By the Hour (RBH) and Parts By the Hour (PBH) services over Standard Exchange?

These two programs are well suited to your operations when you need to keep your costs and budget under control.

With these services, whatever the type and intervals of your maintenance, you pay the same monthly amount. For unscheduled removal, all financial risks are taken in charge by Eurocopter.

One of their features is also to build up a provisioning fund for the TBO components. The monthly flat rate allows you to smooth out your expenses. You do not have huge expenses any longer.

For PBH in addition, thanks to dedicated inventories, we guarantee a 24 hours availability of the part for the scheduled and unscheduled removals.

04. What does an overhaul or repair cover?

The dynamic components of your helicopter are vital parts. Their overhaul/repair calls for the very best technical know-how and top-level human skills.

At Eurocopter, we have pooled our experience and knowledge to set up the highest industry standard. This results in meticulous processes and stringent quality inspections and procedures for all your repairs and overhauls.

9 key steps guarantee you top quality: technical filtering and planning, dismantling, media stripping and cleaning, measurement and visual appraisal of parts, non-destructive inspection tests, repairs, application of mandatory service bulletins, re-assembly, re-protection and painting, dynamic testing, documentation updating and airworthiness certificates.

All our approved service centres follow the same procedure.

05. Where can I have my dynamic components repaired?

Eurocopter manages a fleet of 9,400 helicopters in more than 140 countries. To offer our customers a doorstep service, we have set up a network with more than 20 certified repair centres around the world.

Our experts regularly audit the centres to insure you receive a top-quality and uniform service.

We also publish an annual Customer Service Directory, which lists all the certified repair centres (link), their addresses and the services for which each has been certified.

06. Will I receive the same quality of service in one of your certified centers?

Yes. To be certified, each centre must have the same facilities that we employ on our own sites, and must sign a quality chart.

In addition, the centre’s technicians must be trained in one of our approved training centres.

Last of all, we regularly conduct audits in each centre so we can guarantee a top-quality and uniform service.

For the renewal of the certification of a centre, we also take into account all the customer remarks made during the customer satisfaction surveys.

07. Where and how should I deliver the part for overhaul or repair?

For parts overhauled/repaired in one of our certified centres

    • In most cases, simply send the component directly to the centre. For more details, just contact the repair centre.

    • Each year, we publish an annual Customer Service Directory, which lists all the certified repair centres, their addresses and the services for which each has been certified.

For parts overhauled/repaired on our Marignane site

    • All components to be overhauled or repaired must be sent to our platform at Tremblay

    • The platform is located near Charles de Gaulle International Airport, and benefits from the nearby service providers in the area. We can thus optimize our response time and reduce our shipping lead times.

Each component must mandatorily be sent with its documentation.

08. Can you deliver me the part after it has been repaired/overhauled?

Yes, just choose one of the several options:

    • Delivery to the nearest airport (CIP)

    • Delivery to your site (DDU)

Or opt for our all-inclusive door-to-door service with:

    • Pickup of the part on your premises

    • Overhaul or repair

    • Delivery of the part to your site  

09. What are your lead times for overhauls/repairs?

Each certified centres have their specific lead times. They will indicate them upon request.

However we indicate you TAT performed by our Marignane site.

Nonetheless, if your activity requires fast component replacement, we advise you our PBH (Parts by Hour) program which guarantee you will receive your component within 24H F.C.A/ 72H C.I.P.

At least, if you have an urgent need for a part, our standard exchange service can get the part to you within 48H (if part available in the pool).

We will also adapt our organization to satisfy your need, whatever it may be.

10. What prices do you charge?

It depends on the service you choose: 

    • All overhauls/repairs are on quote. Once your component is received, we appraise it to determine the operations that are needed.
       
    • At the latest 3 weeks after receiving your dynamic component, you will receive an inspection report including: 
       
      • An exploded view of the main components 

      • The part numbers and scope of the investigation 

      • The detailed tasks to be performed  
         
    • At this stage, you are free to continue or not with the overhaul/repair. If you decide not to continue, you will be charged for the appraisal only. 

       
    • If you want a fixed price, this can be arranged via our standard exchange service. They will supply you with a part at a fixed price within 48 hours of your request. 

    • At last, our maintenance programs (RBH, PBH) offer you services with a flat rate per flight hour.

11. What does your quote contain?

Our quotes are drawn up with the aim of offering you the fairest possible - and surprise-free - prices.

Our quote therefore comprises the following: 

    • A flat rate including labor, consumables and parts systematically changed. 

    • An on-quote added fee for each complementary repaired or replaced part

In the last case, we provide you with an inspection report that gives: 

    • An exploded view of the main components

    • The part numbers and scope of the investigation 

    • The detailed tasks to be performed

You are then free to continue or not with the overhaul/repair. If you decide not to continue, you will be charged for the
appraisal only.

12. What is the extra cost for an Express overhaul/repair?

Our prices for the express overhaul/repair service are based on the standard market prices. There is no extra cost.

Nevertheless, if you have a tight budget, we advise you to opt for the optimal formula: it will cost you about 10% less and guarantee you an overhaul/repair within a reasonable lead time.
